Super nice shop, great atmosphere, very tasty selection of salads and cakes..Gf and vegan options! Highly recommended and a great asset to our neighborhood! We have missed something like that for a long time. I love to go there again and again! Thank you!!!

I am pleased that the Schimmerlos has enriched the café and bar scene! Usually the offer is also very good and the staff is usually nice and friendly ! If, however, the "head chef" * replies to constructive feedback on an overcooked and indifferent tasting vegetable cake that he has already sold 60 pieces of it this week and that it only costs € 8.00, then I wonder whether that is a measure of quality should, by which his skills - and those of Schimmerlos - should be measured or whether the cooking time of his critical ability and cooking skills should be extended? * By the way - according to Wikipedia - a chef is a person who gives instructions for the preparation of dishes in a larger kitchen [which the author has already seen from MICHELIN star owners] and also prepares more difficult dishes himself. Should it have been the latter in this case?

The first waitress didn't seem to feel like it and accordingly took my order incorrectly. The service we had afterwards, on the other hand, was very attentive and friendly.

Was there twice and both times it tasted great. The vegan breakfast is great. But also the vegan stew. Always my pleasure. A tip: it's best to reserve at the weekend :)

Spontaneously discovered and immediately fell in love - this restaurant is an absolute pearl! Probably the best Bavarian cuisine beyond the white sausage equator ... modern interpretation, a lot of vegetarian & vegan, but also delicious with meat & fish The decor is tasteful, beer & coffee is excellent and the icing on the cake are the consistently friendly and patient wait staff ( we were there with two children). All thumbs up !!

I fell in love on August 12th It must have been around 10:43 a.m. I drank a 'brown'. While I was talking and enjoying the sun you were suddenly there! Not too small, not too big, your complexion, unbelievably natural, tiny details all over you without too many frills or overloaded. And above all your scent. I know 'other mothers have beautiful daughters too' but you cut me off. When you finally got to our place, you could convince me that you were more than just a beautiful sight. An incredible character emerged as we approached in bites. I enjoyed every moment with you. And as suddenly as you were there, as quickly you disappeared again. I have to see you again that's for sure. Hopefully it's okay that I told everyone about you, but I can't remember ever having such a good, delicious scrambled egg with goat cheese! The world has to know!

The atmosphere immediately reminded me of the Hallmackenreuther in Cologne. Thumbs up! There are also some armchair corners for chilling out. The view outside is impressive from above. We had a wild herb salad with pear and veal cream goulash with noodles (from the weekly menu) and were both impressed by the arrangement and the taste experience. We each had a drink, followed by an espresso each and we were very well served with € 33.00. We went there on Sunday and had a feudal breakfast for about the same price (2 breakfasts, 4 coffees). The service was very courteous and friendly both times. Tip! What an asset for Wuppertal!

Chic deli with interesting snacks and a varied weekly and salad menu. Friendly staff and atmosphere accompany the visit. It's better to bring some time with you at lunchtime, if you want it to be quick, the generously topped cuts are recommended. The dishes on the weekly menu are creative and full of ideas, you can always find something new and they are definitely worth waiting for a minute or two. Regular guest.

We went for breakfast and had a really great time. Even though it was very busy, the service was friendly and quick - great. The breakfast was also very, very tasty. Above all, I found the selection great. We would love to come back!

So far, we had only heard good things about the vegan breakfast and so we left a few weeks ago because we were in the area anyway. The café was well attended, which is why the service was unfortunately very stressed, short and a bit impatient / harsh. The coffee was unfortunately inedible. Sour, burnt and simply not tasty. Our carrot salmon was so salty that it wasn't edible either. (However, this was deducted from our bill after we pointed it out.) Unfortunately, the Obazda was not price-performance ratio both in front and behind - we had hoped for a little more than a tablespoon. Maybe we just had a bad day, we're sure to give the café another chance. After all, the homemade rolls were fresh and tasty - the location is very bright and inviting. Operation is quick. These are the pluses!

As a vegan, I discovered several pieces of chicken on my supposedly vegan plate. It was not immediately recognized because the pieces of meat were not recognizable in color. Only when we took a bite did we realize: this is meat. We were offered to exchange this, but we refused. A meat eater at our table ate it, otherwise it would probably end up in the trash. In addition, the response to this was inappropriate. We were smiled at and the situation was downplayed. As a vegan, you don't care if the chicken had a happy life. You don't want to hear that in such a situation. The reparation (an espresso on the house) was also forgotten in the end. I can understand that the team has to get used to the service first, but a certain level of professionalism must be available as a basic from day one. The decor and the other dishes were tasty.

A super beautiful place and a clear enrichment for the dining scene in Wuppertal. We sat outside in the beer garden, which is set up on the street in front of the shimmer lot & had a very nice, cozy & relaxed time there. The service was very attentive and the products consumed were very tasty. Here everything is set up and thought out with a lot of love, which can be clearly read. In any case, I will come back and try the breakfast. Good luck and great that you exist!

I love going to this café. The interior is an absolute dream for every vintage lover, there is a lot to discover and you can see the attention to detail. The dishes, cakes and drinks are varied and very tasty. The staff is always trying and friendly. I'm very happy to have this nice shop in Wuppertal!

Beautiful shop with lovingly prepared breakfast and huge selection, unique in Wuppertal! Delicious daily specials, delicious salads and really good coffee! There is also a beer garden and delicious cakes. Vegetarians / vegans are also more than happy here ??

What a board! Literally. We really liked it. Bavarian / Austrian cuisine in a very stylish atmosphere. The dishes are of very good quality, no mass-produced goods are used here. The drinks (especially the beer) were delicious! We will definitely be back. The service will certainly be well established soon. We are very excited about breakfast, because that is rarely really good in Wuppertal.

This location wants to be Bavarian. Acts more like a "trendy bar". Few beers from Bavaria on the drinks menu. This is also not exactly clear and friendly. Untrained staff, which seems very stressed, as there is probably no specialist knowledge of the products on offer, toilets are rarely available, but at least clean. This visit was quite disappointing, I would have expected more, also in terms of flair. In terms of price, it is simply too expensive for the quality. Really a shame, it is DEFINITELY not worth a visit!

Hearty cuisine in the valley. Wuppertal has a new highlight. Delicious coffee and great food! Plus already set up and very friendly staff. I only know such stores from larger metropolises. Absolutely worth supporting !!!
